Lotus Series

Fri Jul 10, 2009, 7:01 PM
*sigh* Last entry deleted. I've finally found a great pose for Jewel and have almost finished the figure, but this is going to take a long time to finish.

:star-empty: Jewel's Hail to the Jewel in the Lotus

:star: Chaunce's Chant of Loving Kindness

:star:Keitai's Heart Sutra

This journal is just a container for the Lotus Series, since those gallery folder things don't work sometimes.

holy crap! how are you balancing on that thing!? (referring to id pic)

I understand the theory of evolution.
I also understand, that at a certain point in human evolution, something went horribly horribly wrong.
First, don't get it in your buttcrack, sit on one cheek instead. This is very important to avoid pain. Get your arms out first to stabilize. One leg is already bent on the line and one foot is on the ground, and then quickly move that leg on top. That last part is the most difficult. Then when the line wiggles, wiggle your arms with it to retain balance. I'd imagine it looks rather silly but lots of things that work look silly.

very true.

sounds slightly complicated, but then, i guess in a way it must be kind of like learning to ride a bike? once you get the balance part down its not that hard. maybe? lol.

how are you anyway?

Just like anything else: little steps build up to skill sooner or later.

I am good. Busy! With the onset of more work comes more of an urge to play so I do that vigorously, hence the days are used up so quickly!

And how are you?

You're never on AIM, wanna RP one of these days?

i keep forgetting to load AIM to be honest, im online nearly all the time though. LOL. oh well....
If you would like to RP that would be great, would get me away from whatever it is im doing.

As per how I am....not so well I'm afraid. I have been having some issues with my heart lately, and I'm unsure of what is causing it. I have had an EKG and a chest X-ray, but Im waiting for the results on that. I was fortunate enough to have a previous appointment with a top doctor for other issues I have, and he is working on trying to figure out what is going on thankfully.
I am hopefully going to be able to go dig in Saltville Virgina this week. It's an Ice Age site, and last year I dug up a mammoth rib bone. ~giddy~ I'm just hoping this chest pain coupled with shortness of breath doesn't prevent me from going. ~pout~

Wow... I can't even get a proper balance on my aunt's Wii Fit. I probably wouldn't last long on a slackline.

2.) Never become the kind of person who tells others, "I know what's best for you."
I have never played Wii so I'm not entitled to say, but the idea of thinking you can balance when you're standing on your floor annoys me.

That said, no one is good when they first step on a slackline. It took me a long time to even walk backwards on it, which is a simple thing.

Welcome back, Becca. Can't wait to hear about the fun you had in Florida.
